Coming Back To The Heart of Worship

Lately I've been thinking about true worship of God and what that is.
Is it something that we contrive and then present to God? Is it a happy face we paste on during Sunday morning, sing a happy-dappy song and then say "ooh, I'm worshiping Jesus?
Is it putting on our nice, dressy clothes and going to church and clapping our hands and swaying to the music? Is it having the best "presence" and looking and sounding utterly professional and flawless?
My thoughts go lately to this: That real worship is EVERYDAY!
Real and true worship is not a professional sound, not a certain look, or a certain posture or way of acting while singing church songs.
Real and true worship involves having a true heart towards God,sometimes involving being on your face before Him. Surrendering to Him!
God isn't fooled when when we show up at church on Sunday morning with the best outfit, the best instruments, and the best of everything musically and forget the most important thing! We forget out heart! If we don't come with a true heart, if we focus on "performance" rather than glorifying the Lord Jesus, than we may as well not come at all.I want Him to pleased when I come to Him with praise and worship.
I so want to be true, to feel every word that I sing and say. I don't want to "look the part, sound the part," and wear the label of Christian yet live a life that speaks the total opposite the rest of the week. God help me to be focused on You, let my worship be from a heart that reflects you.Let my whole life be unto You and wherever you lead let me follow.

Lives Never Lived...

I've been doing a lot of thinking on the issue of abortion lately. and if you are my friend on Facebook, you know that I post up articles and videos all the time about this issue. Today I'm feeling rather sad, when I think about the upcoming vote in congress concerning the healthcare bill. I feel sadness for what America has come to, I feel sadness that even christians adhere to this pro-choice way of thinking. Come on America!! This isn't about saving the life of the mother, it isn't about that at all. A mother's life being in imminent danger from childbirth is so infinitely small in this country and it's absolutely stupid to try to expand all these abortions laws and tax payer funding under that pretense. I try to imagine, as hard and impossible it may be, what God thinks about America and it's legalized killing of unborn babies. I don't even begin to say that I know what He is thinking, but I have His word and in there it tells me a lot of what God feels about the unborn. He knew these babies even before they were formed, He knew everything about them. All this hope and potential and lives murdered for WHAT!!! selfishness mostly and it breaks my heart. Lives never lived. The babies had no choice. :(

Men and boys: the spitting image

so today I am at the gas station pumping my gas, and trying to remember the words to a certain song I thought of from my childhood, and I look over and this relatively normal looking guy at the gas pump on the other side of me just spits out a huge... well I won't go into detail, but it was disgusting! and it was NEARLY at my feet!! I have SOOO had it with men and boys doing this! I have seen even a few girls do it also. What is the DEAL!!!!!! Why do males do this?? I don't get it!! Does it make them feel manly to ooz their slobber all over the sidewalks right in front of people? It makes me want to hurl and add to the mess on the sidewalk. It seems that everywhere I go, I see males doing this without any shame at all. DUDE,I do NOT want to see your spit on the sidewalk or accidently step in it which I have done. Thats just gross and I have two words for you males that do this: STOP IT!!!!!!!! That is all. See, aren't you glad you read my first blog? heehee
